Suiciety was a hardcore/sludge band from Fort Worth, Texas who were active from the late 80s to the early 90s. Suiciety released a demo and one self-titled 7" on Repercussion during their time together. Curiously, the S/T 7" has 3 different artwork variations. Suiciety played shows with Indian Summer, Born Against, Sinker and Rorschach.
Suiciety had a similar sound and style to early Ebullition releases like Struggle or Iconoclast; they blended heavy hardcore with a sludge influenced metallic edge. They stand out quite a bit on the Repercussion Records catalog, being the only band that is heavily influenced by metal, but they make an excellent addition in any case.
Suiciety, while admittedly not as groundbreaking or experimental as acts like Indian Summer or Shroomunion, fits in perfectly with the early Repercussion sound. Hopefully one day the demo will surface online again, untill then we are left with these 2 incredible tracks. You can really hear their potential even from the 2 tracks on the 7", so it's a shame the demo is currently lost.
