Three Studies For A Crucifixion - Discography (1994-2001)

Three Studies For A Crucifixion was a hardcore band from Columbus, Ohio who were active throughout the second half of the 90s. The band included a member of Feci Dal Signore. Their discography includes a split 12" with Coleman, a split 7" with Harriet The Spy, a split 8" with Melt Banana, a demo tape and a number of appearances on compilations.

Three Studies For A Crucifixion is some of the loudest, heaviest music I've heard today. Just listening to their vocalist almost makes your throat hurt. This is grindcore influenced "emoviolence" at its finest. I'd say they reach levels of noise-ridden chaos and volume on par with bands like In/Humanity, Honeywell or Holocron and yet I hear them talked about far too little. Their split with Coleman has to be one of the heaviest releases ever, both of these bands are absolutely insane and somewhat underrated for how great they are.

Live Video

The bands tracks are seething with so much noise, rage and energy its almost overwhelming to listen to. I could not imagine what it would be like to see them live, I wish I could have had the chance to do so. It shocks me how little they are brought up even within the niche community that still appreciates this music. Needless to say, if you haven't heard Three Studies For A Crucifixion yet what are you even doing? Listen below!
