Sixpence - Discography (1995-1996)

Sixpence was a heavy hardcore band from Aalborg, Denmark. I sound like a broken record but Sixpence is another band I know virtually nothing about; it seems like there is no pictures, posters or live videos to be found anywhere. What I do know is that Sixpence was unique, heavy as anything and well loved in Japan (With their Envy split 7" and HG Fact compilation track displaying this). They also ended up on the Canadian label Anima's Food Not Bombs compilation with a bunch of other classic 90s hardcore bands like Anomie, Swallowing Shit, Drift, Constatine Sankathi and more.

While Sixpence seemed to be fairly loved internationally way back when, they have been relegated to obscurity and half-forgotten nowadays, which is a real shame. Sixpence took the Rorschach inspired Bremen-core sound and made it their own, speeding it up to a lightning fast pace that could be compared to bands like Drift and Uranus. If you are a fan of the heavier side of 90s hardcore and emo I would wholeheartedly recommend checking out Sixpence!
