    Impetus Inter was a hardcore band from St. Paul, Minnesota who were active from 1994-1996. The band released a demo tape, a 12" LP, two 7"s and had one track on a compilation 7". Impetus Inter is one of those bands that nobody seems to know, but those that do love them to bits. They sounded one part Born Against, one part Angel Hair and 3 parts madness; sporting bizarre guitar-work, ferocious drums and shrieking vocals. 

    The "Youth Jihad" 7" in particular is my favourite release by them but I have heard much praise for the full length in the past. Street Justice is my favourite track. Impetus Inter has such a distinct and unique sound, it's honestly hard to describe it. Theres a dire sense of urgency and nervous energy in their songs that makes you want to furiously tap your leg along with the beat.
