The Ivy Crown was an indie/emo band from Detroit, Michigan. I found their 7" a while back at Audiopile in Vancouver and I didn't listen to it for the longest time because it seemed pretty unassuming and I bought it with about 35 other 7"s that day. When I finally got around to listening I was very pleasantly surprised with the material; despite being pretty obscure, The Ivy Crown put out some incredibly solid indie/emo pop tracks that would fit right in on a playlist of stuff like Ribbon Fix, The Interstate Ten (their melodies really remind me of this band in particular) and Jejune. Their 1999 full length CD is a really pleasant and refreshing listen and i'd highly recommend it for fans of the lighter side of emo.
