Cedar Of Lebanon was a hardcore band from Houston, Texas who were active for a few years in the mid 90s. A member of the band was also in Blueprint. Their Discography includes a self-titled 7", a split 7" with Sore Loser and a demo tape.
Cedar Of Lebanon mixed elements of punk, post-punk, hardcore and "emo" to create a sound that balances somewhere between all of them. Similar to Agna Moraine's Autobiography, Union Young America or Republic of Freedom Fighters in the sense that they kind of defy one specific genre, Cedar Of Lebanon made a name for themselves in the Houston scene.
Their discography is somewhat small but even the amount of content they released shows the band had a lot of focus and talent. There's definitely a sense of emotion and melancholy to their songs but they stay away from any whininess and stick more to emotionally driven but upbeat and punk-influenced vocals and riffs.
