The Republic Of Freedom Fighters - Discography (1996)

    The Republic Of Freedom Fighters was a emo-hardcore band from Victoria, BC. They shared members with Breakwater and were a continuation of the bands style and passion for experimentation. The Republic Of Freedom Fighters was a MTNCIA/ Linkwork based band much like Breakwater and released a split (under their own label) with fellow rockers Render Useless. 

    The Republic Of Freedom Fighters wrote deep, introspective songs with dejected and cryptic lyrics about colonization, religion and family trauma. This band was weird, spooky and downright unhinged at points. They also had great instrumentation; soft yet frantic guitar riffs, chaotic drumming and vocals that drifted from spoken word to screeching. I have no idea why they get less exposure than Breakwater when they are just as good (if not better!)
