Bleed was an emo/hardcore band from Pennsylvania active from 1993 to 1996 and releasing an 12", a 7" and two split 7"s during this period. Their split 7's were with the New Jersey hardcore band Chain To Thread and San Francisco hardcore band Portraits Of Past. Bleed also had a song on the 1995 "Education" compilation, as well as two songs on the "Follow N' Believe" Compilation CD.
Bleed has a similar sound to a lot of Ebullition releases, however their two vocalists are one of the many things that make them stand out and gives them a unique, intense sound.
Bleed is probably one of my favourite bands from around this time, I especially love their 12" but their split with Portraits Of Past (another favourite) is also great. In my opinion Bleed is a band that grows on you over time. I liked them when I first heard their music but it didn't entirely click with me until later on after listening to it a few more times which made me notice all the little details that make them stand out as unique.
Some former Bleed members are currently in a hardcore punk band called Past Tense Hero which has a similar sound to Bleed.
