Left For Dead - Discography (1996-1998)

Left For Dead was a hardcore/fastcore band from Hamilton, Ontario who was active from 1996-1998 an then briefly reunited for a show in 2004, and then again to record new material in 2013. The band shared members with Fucked Up, Haymaker, Countdown to Oblivion, Acrid and Chokehold to name a few.

Left For Dead played blisteringly heavy and fast hardcore that had a refreshingly passionate and rebellious drive behind it. Despite only ever playing 2 hours outside of Hamilton and never in the US, they were influential enough to be reunited twice after their initial split up, Left For Dead firmly solidified their mark on the Canadian hardcore scene and have stood up extremely well against the test of time.

The band released two 12"s, a 7", a cassette and had split releases with Ochre, Acrid and Chokehold. They also appeared on various compilations which can be viewed through their Discogs profile.

Fall On Deaf Years - Discography (1997-2003)

Fall On Deaf Years was an emo hardcore band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This group stands out to me as one of the more overlooked yet talented "screamo" bands from the 00s era; effortlessly combining melody and controlled chaos with insanely heavy shrieked vocals and breakdowns. Members would go on to play in other influential 00s bands like Towers and La Clef. If you are a fan of the more chaotic- metal influenced hardcore bands of the early 00s like Love Lost But Not Forgotten, The Assistant and Dispensing Of False Haloes, I can guarantee you will enjoy Fall On Deaf Years.
