.NEMA - Discography (1995-1998)

.NEMA was a crusty hardcore band from Ann Arbor/Detroit, Michigan. The band featured Jeff Rice of Ottawa and, curiously, the alt-country band Whiskeytown. .NEMA had a blisteringly fast sound, with even quicker tempo changes and some of my favourite drumming of the entire 90s hardcore scene, showcasing an impressive level of technical skill and intensity. I could compare them to contemporaries like Ottawa and Eurachrist, with their unhinged, crusty, and blackened style. Their sole full-length album, "Bring Our Curses Home," is one of my favourite albums of the era; it’s completely electrifying and chock-full of indescribable energy that is sure to set your hair on end.
