Waltz was a emo/hardcore band from Gainesville, Florida. Best known for their split 7" with Moonraker, Waltz was a femme fronted band that was initially relegated to obscurity until Belladonna Records released their collected works in 2018. While Waltz teetered on the "tweemo" sound, they maintained a harsher, screamed intensity that set them apart from contemporaries like The Pennikurvers and Everybody Asked About You. I'd say they are right in the middle of that sound and the heavier space of bands like Inso Grey. Despite having just seven songs, Waltz made a strong impression with their infectious energy, seamlessly blending catchy melodies with heavier punk-influenced songwriting.
