Rockets Red Glare was a math-rock/post-hardcore band from Toronto, Ontario, formed by two members of Blake. Building on the technical, bass-driven post-hardcore sound that defined Blake, Rockets Red Glare incorporated a strong post-rock influence, creating a more mellow and introspective atmosphere. Despite being a trio, the band achieved a massive sound and an unparalleled synchronicity. Each member was exceptionally talented, weaving their individual contributions together like well-oiled machinery.
Rockets Red Glare toured consistently and became something of an institution in the Toronto music scene, mesmerizing audiences with their unique and complex sound. The band played sporadically from 2003 to 2006 before quietly disbanding, leaving a lasting impression on the Ontario hardcore scene and inspiring numerous bands to follow in their footsteps.
