Ereshkigal was a heavy hardcore band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. A member went on to play in (nineteen) nineteen. To start, Ereshkigal was a incredibly underrated band that boasted some of the most insanely brutal vocals I have heard in the hardcore genre. The songs on their split with The Infinity Dive show a lot of potential but the ST 7" takes the cake for one of the most brutal releases to come out in the late 90s, every song is bursting with unbridled anger and energy. Ereshkigal could be compared to some of the heavy hardcore that came out of Bremen, Germany; like AcMe and Systral, but they transform it into a sound all their own.
