Staircase - Discography (2000-2002)

Staircase was a hardcore/screamo band from Moss Beach, California. The band was probably best known for their split 12" with Funeral Diner, even though they kind of steal the show on that release. They were also featured on the Mountain CIA's Farm Sanctuary Benefit CD. Their sound incorporates some experimental post rock elements into their music, much like Funeral Diner, as well as taking inspiration from bands like New Jersey's You And I with their clean vocal breaks. There is a lot of youthful energy in Staircase's music that reminds me of bands that came before their time like Indian Summer and Ordination Of Aaron.

I believe they once played at an infamous gig in Montreal (or was it Funeral Diner?), where Lost Kidz recreated September 11th with cardboard boxes to some bewildered touring Americans that did not find it very funny. Anyways, I'm proud to host Staircase's discography here with notably better fidelity than what was available before. Enjoy!
