Born Against was a Hardcore band from New York. Where do you start with a band who's reputation precedes them? Born Against was a fit of sardonic rage that challenged the very nature of hardcore punk and helped spark the flame that would burn into the greater 90s D.I.Y punk scene. Along with their contemporaries and friends in Rorschach, Born Against vocally refused to be confined the the violent, backwards ways of the late 80s/ early 90s NYHC scene. The band paved their own way and helped make the legendary ABC No Rio become a safe haven for more experimental (and less violent) punk acts.
Born Against had a malestrom of influences from across the board, it's really hard to describe their sound as it was constantly changing with their line-up, however one facet remained constant; it was pissed off and political to a fault.
