Rinse - Discography (1996)

Rinse was a hardcore band from Columbia, South Carolina. Rinse shared most of its members with another band called Prevail, who had a very similar sound. The 7" came out on Concurrent Records which had a very solid catalog of releases featuring bands like Serotonin, The Kossabone Red and The Forty-Two. They also had an excellent track on the "From Stars Come Hearts" compilation with Puritan, Makara and Khmer Rouge. This track came out on the equally solid label Witching Hour, which put out records for bands like Jeromes Dream, Orchid and Saetia. Hassan I Sabbah was formed from the ashes of Prevail and Rinse, with an even more intense and disorganized sound.

The 7" is absolutely one of my favourite metalcore releases ever. Frantic, shredding guitar riffs immediately assault you along with the insane drums and the vocalists incredibly bone chilling shrieks. Rinse made insanely heavy and chaotic hardcore. Every track from this ends up getting stuck in my head, it is truly unfuckwithable in my books.

There was an unreleased session of theirs that is somewhere out there; the former guitarist told me it was way better than the 7", which kind of blew my mind because the 7" is so good already. Anyways, if you somehow have this or know who might, please contact me!
