While Evergreen had a sound that was more rooted in hardcore, they opened up new avenues by experimenting with melody, twinkling guitars and left field drumming. I strongly believe Evergreen just got better with every release and this is evident in their post-rock/emo masterpiece the "These Last Days 7".
I really don't know what else to say about this band, their reputation precedes them and i'm sure theres lots more great info and writeups about them elsewhere. Just go ahead and give them a listen yourself to see what the hype is about.
