AcMe - Discography (1991-1995)

AcMe was a hardcore band from Bremen, Germany. The band was one of the most original and electrifying hardcore bands of the 90s; almost singlehandedly creating the "Bremencore" style of metalcore that would thrive in Germany throughout the 90s in bands like Systral, Morser and Carol. AcMe took heavy influence from early metalcore bands like Rorschach and Starkweather, without completely copying or mimicking their sound. The band took this influence and multiplied its heaviness by one million times by mixing in a lethal cocktail of black metal and sludge.

AcMe's brand of hardcore is so heavy it's almost hard to describe. The vocalist is so incredibly talented and brutal that he makes Jacob Bannon of Converge sound like a songbird by comparison. The rest of the band made some incredibly pummelling and impactful riffs and breakdowns, not losing a single ounce of power and anger throughout their 7 song recorded discography. AcMe's impact can be heard all over the world, with popular bands like Orchid and Botch taking clear influence from them.
