Puritan - Discography (1995-1997)

Puritan was a metalcore band from State College, Pennsylvania. Where do I even start with this band? Puritan was one of the heaviest hardcore bands of the 90s; every song they released was overflowing with pure emotion and blood boiling energy. You could compare them to Prevail, Rinse, Reversal of Man and Order Of Importance but really none of these bands come close to the pure chaos that Puritan created.

Puritan writhed and wailed around some impressive bass lines and some of my favourite drum work in the genre. Theres seriously no other drummer that I have heard that compares to Puritan's drummer; he had a unique style that was cymbal heavy and frantic, it works perfectly in tandem with the rest of their sound.

Puritan really deserves some love and attention, the energy they had is completely unmatched and sure to set your hair on end.

one of my very first out of state shows I ever played was a Wilkes-Barre Pa fest & Puritan played I sat in one spot completely floored by the intensity they emitted during their set.-the drummer had one of thee biggest septum rings I had EVER seen in his nose. I gave one of their vocalists "Doug" I believe his name was, my mailing info and never heard from him. Yet, thanks to modern age, as well as, internet blogspots I have attained a smorgasborg of music by them.... Cheers my friends, whether I've communicated with yourself or not. I thank you sincerily for your efforts & contributions.
