Amber Inn - Discography (1994-1998)

Amber Inn was a hardcore band from Sacramento, California. The band was one of the two excellent projects that rose from the ashes of Sinker, along with Indian Summer. Vocalist Scott Torguson ran the Sunney Sindicut label and continues to be active in the hardcore scene, currently in the band Wet The Rope. With their first two 7"s Amber Inn quickly proved themselves to be one of the most formidable and essential post-revolution summer "emocore" bands. The bands explosive start-stop nature coupled with Torguson's distinctive vocals put Amber Inn in a perfect spot to create some truly powerful and introspective music. I would easily put the Ebullition 7" on my top 5 emo 7" list, if you haven't heard this band yet and you are a fan of the genre, you are seriously missing out on some of the best material it has to offer.

Amber Inn toured relentlessly, collaborated with some incredible labels and featured on compilations with almost every other influential and powerful D.I.Y hardcore band of the era. This band is a staple of the early "emo" sound and should not be counted out in the history of the genre; like I said with Embassy, Amber Inn could be an excellent contestant for a successful run of reissues.
