Jasemine was an emotional hardcore band from France who were active from 1993 to around 1995. They released a demo tape and two split 7"s, one with Ivich of France one with Elements Of Need of the US. Each 7" contained two of the tracks on the four song demo tape (re-recorded). Members of the band were also in Ananda, Finger Print, Undone and L'invention De Morel.
Jasemine has a similar sound to a lot of the bands they share members with but stand out to me as particularly vulnerable and raw sounding. Despite their small discography they really were a staple of the early 90s French emo scene and their songs are burning with passion and intensity. The early to mid 90s in France had so many incredible bands it's hard to keep track, but it stands to reason that so many of the bands shared members.
I always wished Jasemine released more songs but if you haven't checked them out yet you're missing out. The split with Ivich might be one of my favourite releases ever.
