Surface - Discography (1993-1996)

    Surface was a metalcore band from Thousand Oaks, California. When I hear people talking about the heaviest metalcore / "screamo" bands of the 90s names like Reversal Of Man, ACME and Puritan always seem to be mentioned; while these bands are excellent there is still a lot of great ones that go under the radar. Surface seems to be almost at risk of being forgotten at this point, even though they played shows with other classic 90s hardcore bands and were featured on compilations with notable bands. (also one of the members was the vocalist for Cattle Decapitation) Surface made some incredible, crushingly heavy music and they deserve more credit and attention than they get.

    Surface was a band that followed the blueprint that other great 90s metalcore bands laid before them; with the excellent design and packaging of the LP and the jagged, harsh tracks on it that explode with unconfined anger and power. I come back around to Surface a lot and i'm always impressed by the energy and tense nature of their music.

    If anyone happens to have the Surface discography CD, I would love a rip of it so I can have these tracks in FLAC.
