Tetsuo was an emotive hardcore band from Oceanside, New York who were active from approximately 1994-96, although I can't find any definitive dates for when they formed or split up. During their active years they released one demo tape which has unfortunately not yet been archived, and one split 7" with Edgar who were also from Oceanside.
Tetsuo has a fast and dirty sound with husky, screamed vocals and heavy instrumentals with breaks of softer, "emo" guitar riffs. They definitely don't have the whiny sound that a lot of "emo" bands did, their songs are driven by pure anger. They sample an anime in the beginning of one of their songs which says "I am Tetsuo" before the song erupts into chaos.
Tetsuo showed a lot of promise in their few songs that they released and its really a shame that they never released more content. I hope that someone will eventually archive their demo tape as I would love to hear more of their work.
